A Whimsical World Of Cars

A Whimsical World Of Cars

There are plenty of automotive illustrators out there creating great artwork but there aren’t any quite like Ritter Goods, whose pieces are unique in their whimsical, cutesy aesthetic.

Andrew Ritter is the man behind this fun project. His passion for cars came from his father, and as a kid, he would sketch cartoon cars on school notebooks and napkins. Having spent over 15 years in the industry as the c0-founder and creative director of online automotive platform StanceWorks, he has documented the automotive world through journalism and photography. A few years ago, he branched out from 2D design and vintage motorsport photography to building 3D models, and the Ritter Goods project was born.

Ritter uses illustrations to bring us a different look at some of the world’s most desirable street and race cars — anything from European holy grails like the Ferrari 250 SWB and Mercedes 300SL, to iconic Japanese race cars like the Mazda 787B and JTCC Honda Accord. A brief introduction or a great little story about the specific car accompanies each vehicle, but Ritter is keen to keep things light and hopes to share his passion for cars with both adults and kids alike. Check out his Instagram for all the latest pieces.
