Great Made Greater
German tuning specialist Manhart has turned a stock BMW M2 CS into a very special limited edition machine. Using the already-impressive BMW F87 M2 CS platform as the base, the Manhart MH2 GTR takes things to a whole new level.
Let’s start with the power delivery. The stock 450 hp, 550 Nm 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder biturbo engine — which is certainly nothing to sneeze at in factory form — has been pushed out to 600 hp and 830 Nm thanks to the new Manhart turbo performance kit, intercooler, and carbon intake. A new stainless steel exhaust system featuring 300-cell catalytic converters and four carbon-sheathed 100-mm tailpipes adds to the performance gains, as does the remapped engine and trans ECUs. Suspension upgrades by both H&R and Manhart further enhance the cornering abilities of already capable BMW.
externally, the MH2 GTR is fitted with a spectacular carbon rear wing, carbon fenders with air outlets, plus other design tweaks that reference the M2 CS race car. Under the widened carbon fibre wheel arches are matte-black Concave One forged wheels, paired with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres in 255/30 ZR20 on the steering axle and 295/25 ZR20 on the drive axle.
The interior has been upgraded too, with Recaro bucket seats and carbon accents throughout. An Awron data display unit has replaced the left air vent on the centre console, which provides essential engine information to the driver.
