Hand Drawn Ads From Last Century

Hand Drawn Ads From Last Century

Looking for high-quality and unique home decors may not be an easy task, so it is a nice surprise to have come across EuroDeco, a Japan-based website specialises in selling a wide variety of vintage magazine advertisements that would be great additions to most indoor spaces.

All the ads sold on EuroDeco are original pages from magazines and not copies or replicas, which is really impressive. They are mostly from French magazines from the period of 1920s to 1960s, and the site owner have them imported directly from different parts of France. The adverts are nicely organised into categories, from luxury fashion, perfume, furniture, lifestyle and more. All the illustrations in these ads were hand drawn, and buyers can find out which decade each ad was from the product description.

What caught our eyes naturally is the rich collection of vehicle ads. Surely it is filled with work from French classic automakers that are defunct, such as Dalahaye and Mathis, and those that are still going strong, like Renault and Peugeot. A few automakers from other countries including Fiat and Ford have also made it to the list. The watch section is equally attractive, filled with familiar names from Patek Philippe, Rolex, Omega to IWC. There are also a few Leica camera adverts from the time it was trading as Leitz.

While the EuroDeco website is in Japanese, it is not difficult to navigate so do check it out.
