KITH 2021 Olympics Clothing Collection Campaign Teaser

Brand: KITH

Buy: KITH’s website and stores from July 30.

Editor’s Notes: July 4 is over but the celebration of America continues as KITH prepares for the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo. The New York label is launching an entire collection of sporty Team USA apparel towards the middle of the festivities, kicking things off with a teaser of its forthcoming campaign. Kerri Walsh Jennings and Misty May-Treanor star in the debut image, offering a taste of things (and the many gold medals) to come.

Walsh Jennings and May-Treanor dominated beach volleyball whenever they took the Olympic court, taking home six gold medals between appearances at the 2004, 2008, and 2012 events, deservingly earning the women the title of the greatest beach volleyball pair there ever was. May-Treanor has since retired and been inducted into the International Volleyball Hall of Fame and Walsh Jennings remains active in the sport.

KITH’s teaser sees Walsh Jennings and May-Treanor draped in their Olympic finery and dressed in some Olympics-branded KITH gear, including color-blocked sweaters and shorts. It’s a pretty faithful representation of some classic Olympian gear and represents the next step in the reatiler’s major collaborative efforts.

In the past couple years alone, KITH has partnered with HBO, Vogue and the Knicks, which doesn’t even touch on founder Ronnie Fieg‘s never-ending sneaker rollout.

As the campaign continues to roll out over the next week, expect to see some more heavy-hitting Olympian legends, including legendary gymnast Shannon Lee Miller, vaunted swimmer Aaron Peirsol, and “two members from the historic 1992 USA Men’s Basketball Dream Team,” according to KITH. Jordan‘s probably out of the question but I’ve got my money on Scottie, Barkley, or Magic Johnson.
