Mr. Pascal Raffy, Owner of Maison BOVET 1822, honored with “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his visionary contribution to fine Swiss Watchmaking, during the Watch & Jewellery of the Year 2019, in Dubai

Dubai’s Music Hall hosted the annual Watches & Jewelery of the Year Awards on November 17th, celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

The peculiarity of this event lies in the composition of the Jury which awards the various distinctions.

This one is essentially made up of famous collectors who do not have any professional link with the houses selected in the different categories of this contest.

While Maison BOVET has been regularly awarded prizes in recent editions, its owner, Mr. Pascal Raffy was honored to receive the “Lifetime Achievement Award 2019” for his visionary contribution to fine Swiss Watchmaking.

The trophy was presented to Mr. Pascal Raffy by H.E. Mr. Massimo Baggi, Ambassador of Switzerland to the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This is perhaps one of the most beautiful prizes awarded to Maison BOVET because it salutes all the efforts made by Mr. Pascal Raffy and the craftsmen of the House since 2001, when Mr. Raffy became the Owner of BOVET 1822.

The recognition of collectors testifies to the passion and selflessness that Mr. Pascal Raffy has tirelessly infused with the artisans of the House to write time in its most noble expression for many generations.

About BOVET 1822

BOVET 1822 is a Swiss Manufacturer of luxury timepieces. Since its foundation in 1822, BOVET has artfully combined the most sophisticated mechanisms with the finest craftsmanship, employing artisanal techniques such as gem-setting, engraving, and miniature painting.

Under the visionary guidance of Owner Mr. Raffy, BOVET 1822 acquired renowned tourbillons and dials manufactures in 2006 and DIMIER 1738 immediately began producing the Maison’s movements, hair springs, and dials in-house. His passion for Haute Horlogerie also led to the introduction of the remarkable Amadéo convertible case system, which draws inspiration from the exquisite 19th century pocket watches produced by BOVET 1822.

Today, the House demonstrates its excellence through varied collections that encompass models as emblematic and remarkable as the Virtuoso IX, Récital 26 Brainstorm and Grand Récital tourbillons, to name just a few of its icons.

BOVET 1822 has been rewarded with more than 36 awards and distinctions, including the most coveted “Aiguille d’Or” at Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève for the Grand Récital, honoring and the virtuosity of the Maison’ artisans and their intangible passion to define luxury in its most noble expression.
