nanamica x The North Face Purple Label Release Information
When considering brands that fuse militaristic inspirations and utilitarian design function, you’d be hard-pressed not to think of nanamica. With a name that translates to “House of the seven seas,” preparation for the elements and a close connection to nature is ingrained in the brand’s DNA and remains at the core of the new capsule collection alongside TNF‘s Purple Label.
For those unaware of Purple Label, the subdivision achieved cult status due to its product’s heightened technicality through both fabrication and function. Up until 2019, the label was exclusive to Japan, making its first European landing through The North Face’s Urban Exploration store. Although led by nanamica, the division has been crafted with a distinct design language, combining the best of both brands to perfect the idea of modern utility.
Fall/Winter 2021 offers a unique, limited collaborative capsule collection designed exclusively for the nanamica store. A marriage of contemporary fashion and sportswear functionality, the capsule looks to ’70s Japanese outdoor and ’80s American preppy style as a source of inspiration for their fall uniform.
The nanamica x The North Face Purple Label capsule collection will be available to shop exclusively in Japan from September 18.
