Nyon, Switzerland, 29th January – Hublot is pleased to today announce a new partnership with nine-time European Tour winner and current world #16, Alex Noren, who is to officially become a Friend of The Brand.
Sweden’s Alex Noren produced a remarkable performance at the Farmers Insurance Open on Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California, to finish runner up on Monday January 29th. He narrowly lost to Australia’s Jason Day in an intensely fought 6-hole playoff that stretched over two days due to darkness. Noren’s hard work continues to elevate him and cement his place inside the world’s golf elite.
Throughout an incredible 18 months, which commenced with the holing of a pressure putt on the final hole of the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open in July 2016, Noren has enjoyed a startling upward trajectory. Since that milestone success, the Swede has clinched a further five European Tour victories, including at the BMW PGA Championship, where his tournament challenge was timed to perfection with a course-record 62 on the final day.
This run of form has seen Alex Noren climb as high as #8 in the Official World Golf Rankings, ensuring his attendance at the sport’s biggest tournaments in 2017 – an opportunity he grasped with both hands with top 10 finishes in The Open, The Players Championship and the WGC-Dell Technologies Matchplay.
