Panerai has undertaken a serious commitment to reduce its carbon footprint. Material innovation is one of the ways it’s adopting to meet this goal, and it has partly achieved that with eSteel, a metal of which more than 50 per cent is composed of recycled materials. Despite this, eSteel possesses the same properties as conventional steel, including identical chemical behaviour, physical structure and resistance to corrosion.
The Submersible dive watch is the latest to receive this sustainable treatment. The green factor extends to the strap—two, in fact, for each watch, a recycled PET fabric strap and a recycled rubber strap. Available in green, deep blue or grey.
