A Side of Anthony Bourdain at The English House

Now would be the best time to revisit The English House by Marco Pierre White, which recently unveiled a handful of personal items that belonged to the late Anthony Bourdain. On display around the restaurant are one-of-a-kind kitchen tools and artworks, which include Boudrain’s custom steel and metorite chef’s knife (which sold for over USD$231,250 in a 2019 auction), paintings, and memorabilia collected during the course of Bourdain’s travels across the world. 

In addition, The English House is taking this moment to reintroduce its signature dishes, such as the homemade Sausage Roll, Fresh Lobster Dumpling with egg white and hairy crab sauce, Beer Battered Wild Cod, as well as a special dish that’s available by special request — a creamy and addictively spicy Cacio e Pepe, which is Bourdain’s favorite classic Roman dish.

Earth Month Menu at Super Loco

From now until 30 April, the Super Loco Group is teaming up with Australian plant-based start-up Fable Food for a menu that promotes a cleaner and kinder way of feasting. Available at the Robertson Quay and Customs House locations are a handful of vegan- and vegetarian-friendly dishes, such as the Garden Flautas, comprised of spinach herb tortillas, earthy Mexican truffle, crispy quinoa, and goat cheese. The Fable Al Pastor Taco is a vegan version of the Mexican favorite, which stars Fable’s slow-braised mushroom “meat”, cirspy kale, roasted corn, and watermelon radish, all wrapped in a bamboo ash tortilla. In addition to the special menu, diners who purchase a set menu during this period will get to adopt a tree under their name, through Super Loco Group’s ongoing tree-planting exercise that aids reforestation across Borneo’s endangered rainforest.

The Return of The Great Beef & Reef Series at Bedrock Origin

From 20 April to 18 August 2022, Bedrock Origin at Oasia Resort Sentosa presents the second edition of the signature The Great Beef & Reef Series. Available as a 6-course Dinner Tasting Menu ($188++/person) and a 6-course Dinner Tasting Menu with Caviar ($288++/person), the special set brings together an impressive showcase of beef, seafood, and fine wines from Orin Swift. Look forward to dishes like the Sakoshi Oyster, Pickled Mussels, and Cold Korean Flower Clam starter that opens the palate with their bright flavors, the tender Chargrilled Smoked Octopus, and the indulgent Woodfire Grilled Nori-Wrapped A5 Wagyu Satsuma Tenderloin, which features Satsuma Gyu 4% Miracle Beef.

sen-ryo Celebrates Its First Anniversary

sen-ryo at ION Orchard celebrates its first anniversary with a selection of special dishes and set lunch offerings. From 19 April onwards, weekday lunches are made a tad more luxurious with the introduction of new lunch sets, which include the Salmon Shioyaki Set, the Madai Ochazuke Set, and our personal favorite, the sen-ryo Kushiyaki Set, comprised of rice, miso soup, salad, and five skewers of ebi, hotate, tsukune, shiitake mushrooms, and sweet white onions. In addition to the lunch sets, new dishes like the Kaki Soy Nabe (Hyogo oyster hot pot with a soy milk-dashi broth) and Ise Ebi Sashimi (fresh lobster sashimi on ice) are not to be missed.
