In celebration of Patek Philippe’s 170-year relationship with Tiffany & Co, the watch brand has released a commemorative piece inspired by its highly coveted Nautilus Ref 5711 piece. The two companies first formed a partnership as early as 1851 when Tiffany & Co became the first official Patek Philippe retailer in the US.

In addition to being founded just two years after each other, Tiffany & Co is the only retailer that is allowed to have the double sign dials on Patek Philippe watches—an exclusive element that remains until today.

Earlier this year, Patek Philippe stopped producing the popular model and, instead, introduced a green-dialled stainless-steel Nautilus in April, labelling it as the ‘final edition’ of the line. But avid followers of the brand might have picked up on hints that Thierry Stern, Patek Philippe’s CEO, has given suggesting there could be something new on the way. That something is the limited-edition Ref 5711/1A 018 Nautilus in steel endowed with the famous Tiffany Blue dial.
